Cloudbridge
Over the summer of 2016, I spent two months as the head of media for an expedition to Costa Rica's highland cloud forests. We were there to study the population of amphibians throughout Cloudbridge Nature Reserve and extend the boundaries of research that had already taken place in the area. We set up a satellite camp at 2600m on the mountain you can see in the starry night image in the gallery below. From this basecamp, we surveyed transect at several levels of elevation and habitat type. My main role was to produce a short documentary about the reserve and the work of our expedition team - you can watch this over on the 'film' page in the navigation bar. Whilst I was producing the video content for the film, I also took time to focus on stills photography. Below is a varied gallery of the images I captured in the most stunning and biodiverse landscape I have had the fortunate opportunity to visit.
